Join us for the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia’s 22nd annual DSANV Buddy Walk® for an exciting day of activities and family fun! Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting DSANV’s mission to ensure all individuals with Down syndrome and their families in the Northern Virginia area, receive the support necessary to participate in, contribute to and achieve fulfillment of life in their communities.
Our goal is to reach $150,000 by the Buddy Walk. All proceeds directly fund our 2026 programs and events. Thank you for supporting this amazing community!
Registration Deadlines
- Early Bird Registration ends on August 9th
- You can register and get a shirt until September 20th
- After September 20th, you will be able to buy your T-shirts on site at $20 each (Quantities limited)

$7500 - Lead the Walk alongside our Grand Marshall and get 5 tickets for free food.

$5000 - Reserved Team Tent. Earn a private tent to stash your belongings, eat your lunch, and escape the sun! (must achieve by 10/1)

WHEN we walk- This year’s walk will take place after the festival—giving everyone more time to arrive without the rush, and the chance to enjoy the fun, games, food, and celebration before we hit the pavement together!

Elongated walk length- This year, we’re excited to step it up—literally—by elongating our walk length. Together we will walk just under 1 mile. A longer walk better reflects the powerful journey of advocacy, inclusion, and community we’re on together—so lace up, show up, and help us go the literal mile for acceptance!

Award Ceremony - Then we will walk together in unity, honoring our shared purpose, and recognizing the incredible impact of our top 10 teams during our closing celebration!
Weather Policy
This event will take place rain or shine. As this is a fundraiser, all ticket purchases and donations are non-refundable. Thank you for your support in helping us make a difference!

For our Bike Enthusiasts - The Century Bike Ride is another opportunity to raise funds for Buddy Walk. Build your team earlier, sign up for Century Ride and continue to raise funds all the way to Buddy Walk.
