2026 Fundraising Incentives

The Parkinson Hero Walk demonstrates why community is so important for individuals living with Parkinson’s, their care partners, and their healthcare team. Your support, hard work, and dedication enables the success of these events, and we have special incentives available to show our appreciation.

Register and activate your fundraising campaign to start earning prizes!  MPF Walk fundraising rewards are offered when you raise $100 or more. 

Prizes are earned by registered walkers including an individual participant, Team Captain, or Team Member who have achieved one or more of the seven designated levels and tracked via their personal fundraising page.

Incentive Eligibility:

  • Fundraising incentives are available to registered participants only.
  • To qualify for incentives, donations must be credited to your personal fundraising page.
  • Team fundraising totals do not count toward individual incentive levels.
  • Prizes are not cumulative.

Incentives can be earned through October 23, 2026.

Hero Signs

When you raise or donate a total of $250, you earn a Parkinson Hero Sign that will be displayed along the walk route in honor of someone special.

A Hero Sign is a meaningful way to:

  • Celebrate a loved one living with Parkinson's
  • Honor a care partner, spouse, child, family member, or friend
  • Recognize a support group, exercise instructor, or rehabilitation team
  • Thank the healthcare professionals who have made a difference in your journey

Every $250 raised earns one Hero Sign. Because signs are based on your individual fundraising total, you can earn multiple signs! For example, an individual who raises $1,000 can create four Hero Signs.

Hero Signs are also a beautiful way to commemorate special moments, including:

  • A Parkinson's diagnosis anniversary
  • A birthday or milestone
  • Celebrating consistency with an exercise program
  • Honoring a loved one who has passed away
  • Recognizing someone who has been your hero throughout your Parkinson's journey

Family and friends who are unable to attend the walk can earn a Hero Sign, too. Sign earners do not need to live in Michigan or be present at the event to participate. Once you reach the $250 fundraising level, Michigan Parkinson Foundation will email you a link with instructions to create your personalized Hero Sign.

The First Step $100, Hero Circle $500, and Trailblazer $1,000 level prizes are available on-site at each walk. The Hero Circle shirt size is based on the size listed on your registration submission.

Hero Tribute $250 signs are printed 2 weeks before the walk to be placed along the walk route the day of the event.  To ensure that your sign is made, it is recommended to earn $250 or more 2-3 weeks prior to each walk.

Incentives at the Pathfinder $2,500 and higher levels will receive an email after the fundraising cutoff date with information about your earned prize level and how to redeem them. Email communications will be sent to the email address you registered with.

Team Incentives

Teams who raise $3,000 or more at least 2 weeks before the Walk will enjoy a dedicated space – complete with a reserved table and chairs – to gather their family and loved ones on Walk day. 

Teams will also have a banner, displaying their team name, printed and included in their reserved space.
