Team Barb was created in loving memory of our mom, sister, aunt, nana, and friend, Barbara Marion, who passed away in April 2026 after a courageous 24-year journey with scleroderma.

Barb was diagnosed around age 60. Her early years with scleroderma were marked by serious complications, but thanks to expert medical care and her remarkable determination, Barb was able to achieve a period of stability and live many meaningful years.

Although scleroderma changed Barb's life, it never defined her. Despite significant physical limitations, she remained fiercely independent, resourceful, active, and deeply devoted to and involved with her family.

This year's walk holds special meaning for our family. Family members are traveling from across the country, including Maryland, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, Georgia, Massachusetts, and Illinois, to walk together in Barbara's honor.
