Dear Family & Friends
Over the past four years I have been fortunate to be a volunteer for coach Tom Coughlin's Jay Fund Foundation. The Jay Fund assists families who have a child diagnosed with cancer.
The Jay Fund supports children and their families in MANY ways. The foundation provides financial assistance with groceries, household bills, transportation to treatments or doctor's appointments and more. Each patient and family becomes an intergal part of the Jay Fund's organization. They have an annual Christmas event for the child and family. At this party one special moment is the parents get to select wrapped presents for their sick child. Also, throughout the year the child and family attend local sports events in the Jacksonville area.
The smiles on these children's faces are priceless.
One of my goals in retiement was to find an organization that helps people who have been diagnosed with cancer, trying to make their lives the best they can be. The Jay Fund has more than fulfilled this goal for me. The time and effort everyone within the foundation puts in to complete the mission is incredible. I'm so happy to be part of it. They are the real deal
I've tried to be very active in their fundraising eforts to help existing families and have the resources to help many more. I must be doing something right because this past year they asked me to be on the Event Sponsorship Committee. This committee solicits local companies to help support their premier events. The annual Wine Tasting Gala and the Celebrity Gollf Event. They both are outstanding events, receiving strong support from the local community.
This October 23rd, for the second year, I will be playing 100 holes in Golf Fight Cancer's 2026 JAX Golf Marathon, a unique fundraising event that combines a love of golf and the desire to give back. Golfers of all skill levels play 100 holes to support cancer-related organizations.
All proceeds I raise goes directly to the Jay Fund.
Last year was a very successful event for myself and the Jay Fund. With the support from all of you I was able to surpass my goal, raising more money for the Jay Fund. I thank you all for your support.
This year I'm asking, if possible, that you support my efforts again. Any amount you choose to donate will be greatly apreciated.
On the course with me again will be my son Adam. He will provide emotional support and assitance while he critiques my golf swing. The time I spend with him is very special, working together to help families in need of assistance & support. And it's a lot of fun.
I will be raising critical funds and ask you to support me by making a gift. My goal is $3,000, and a donation of any amount will make a difference.
