I'm playing 100 holes in one day!
Dear friend,
On October 23, I’m going to attempt something that sounds like a good idea now and will probably feel like a terrible idea somewhere around hole 73: play 100 holes of golf in one day.
I’m doing it for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund and the families we serve who are facing childhood cancer. After nearly a decade with the Jay Fund, I’ve seen firsthand how cancer can turn a family’s life upside down — and how much it matters to have someone there to help carry the burden.
This year is the Jay Fund’s 31st anniversary. The number 31 was worn by Jay McGillis, Coach Coughlin’s player at Boston College whose battle with leukemia inspired the creation of the Jay Fund.
So, my goal is $3,131.
100 holes. One day. $3,131 for Jay Fund families.
If I can spend one very long day chasing a golf ball around a course to help more families, I’m in. And if you’d like to help me get there, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support.
As for my golf game… 100 holes should give me at least one good shot.
