Aloha!
I’ve been part of Child & Family Service since 2005, and after more than 20 years, this is actually my first time joining a fundraising event for our organization!
Over the years, I’ve worked directly with families, helped with community events and advocacy, and now lead programs that carry on this important work in West Hawaiʻi. I’ve seen firsthand how compassion, connection, and the right support can truly change and impact lives for the better.
This year’s Family Slipper Walk feels special to me. It’s a way to give back to an organization that has meant so much to my career and to help ensure our programs keep reaching those who need them.
I’m excited to bring our CFS ʻohana and community partners together for a day of fun, connection, and giving back. What I love most is that the money we raise at our Kona event will stay here with CFS West Hawaiʻi to support local programs and families.
Whether you walk (or dance) with us, donate, share our event, or just cheer us on, every bit of support means so much!
Even after all these years, I’m still finding new ways to support a mission I care about. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together, one step and one slipper at a time! Please click on the Kona Homepage to read more about what this whole event is about and why we're doing it :)
With Gratitude and Aloha,
Aurora
