Four years ago, I was facing one of the most difficult challenges of my life: breast cancer. Today, I am incredibly grateful to say that I am in remission and celebrating three years of being cancer-free.
My journey has given me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of cancer research, early detection, treatment, and the hope that research provides to so many patients and families.
That’s why I’m participating in the MK5K to help raise funds for cancer research. I’m walking not only for myself, but for everyone who has heard the words “you have cancer,” for those currently fighting, for those who have lost their battle, and for the survivors who continue to inspire us every day.
