I am passionate about saving women and babies from abortion because I believe that all people are made in the image of God and are therefore fully and equally human.
Many women (one study found 70% of women who have an abortion) feel pressured or even coerced into having an abortion by family, friends, the father of the baby and even medical providers. No women should be pressured to do what in her heart of hearts she does not believe is right. CompassCare lovingly cares for the woman, explains all her options, gets an ultrasound of baby, checks for infections that could hurt her health, and offers her all the support she will need if she chooses to keep the baby. The majority of women who come in with fear about their unexpected pregnancy do choose to keep the baby and leave with hope — knowing they will have all the support they need (a mentor for the mom, supplies for baby, food, childcare, assistance for their own education and work goals). CompassCare also shares Jesus with them, the ultimate hope Who transfoms hearts and lives.
We are raising funds for CompassCare to operate free online services and free crisis pregnancy clinics in Buffalo, Rochester, and the New York City area that provide these services with the love and grace of Christ. The goal this year is to educate more communities with over 150 local walks as well as raise $752,000 to save more women and babies from abortion. This amount covers all services for 1,320 women and their babies.
