My Journey in Water Polo
 

Hi everyone,
My name is Mason Wakefield, and I’m excited to share a big moment in my water polo career. I’ve been playing for Puget Sound Polo since I was 9 years old, and over the years my passion and dedication to the sport have continued to grow bigger.

Water polo has become a major part of my life. Through the sport, I’ve learned discipline, teamwork, and how to push myself to the limit and improve. I’ve built incredible friendships along the way and grown both in and out of the water. I’m excited to continue that journey and see how far I can take it.

I’m super excited to share that I’ve been selected to attend the National Team Selection Camp (NTSC) through the Olympic Development Program (ODP)! This program helps develop athletes and gives us the opportunity to learn, grow, and compete at a higher level. Being selected for NTSC is an incredible opportunity for me to continue improving and compete with some of the top players in the country.

What Drives Me
What I love most about water polo is the challenge and how much it has taught me to push myself. It pushes me to be my best every single day while also teaching me how to be a stronger, more supportive teammate.

I’m raising support to help make this possible—not just for me, but to continue growing within the sport and pursuing future opportunities. This page will follow me throughout the 2026 ODP season, including NTSC and future Pipeline experiences. If I’m selected for additional training camps or international competitions, I’ll continue to share updates as I work toward the next level.
