My Story

Water polo has become more than just a sport for me. It’s something I study, think about, and try to understand every day.

As a goalkeeper, I’ve learned that the game isn’t just about reacting. It’s about reading situations, communicating, and helping lead my team. I love figuring out why things happen in the water and how I can improve, not just physically but mentally too.

I’ve been lucky to learn from great coaches, teammates, and even higher level athletes. I’ve had opportunities to learn from players like Olympic gold medalist Amanda Longan, train through MIZE goalkeeper sessions, and get guidance from athletes like Sophia Bunnell. Those experiences have helped me see the game at a higher level and understand how much there is still to learn.

I’m also really grateful for my coaches at Patriot Water Polo Club in Irvine, especially Coach Duje, Jeff, and Sarah, who continue to push me and support my development every day.

I’m at a point where everything is beginning to come together, and I’m excited to see how far I can take it.

I want to keep challenging myself at the highest level possible, because I believe the only way to improve is to face the best players out there.

Why I Love Water Polo

I love water polo because it challenges me in a different way every day.

Some days it’s physical. Some days it’s mental. As a goalie, I have to stay focused, make quick decisions, and be there for my team no matter what. I enjoy the responsibility of that role and the feeling of being part of something bigger than myself.

It’s also helped me build confidence, discipline, and friendships that mean a lot to me.

I’m working to improve not just as a player, but as a teammate and leader, and experiences like this help me grow in ways I can’t get anywhere else. Your support helps make that possible and gives me the chance to continue developing alongside other athletes who share the same goals.

Looking Ahead

This page will stay with me throughout the 2026 ODP season, including NTSC and future Pipeline experiences.  If I’m selected for additional training camps or international competitions, I’ll continue updating my journey here as I work toward the next level.
