My Story as a Goalie!

Two years ago, I was just a student in swim PE when Coach Mark Anderson saw something in me that I hadn’t seen in myself yet and asked me to try waterpolo! I quickly realized in that moment that I could throw a ball across the pool and catch a ball from him on the pool deck all while treading water. Since that moment, I found the love of being a goalie and I’ve learned that as the last line of defense, I need to practice discipline, teamwork and how to push myself every day to improve my skills. I’ve also built incredible friendships with athletes from all over the Bay Area through this process and grown both physically and emotially on a personal basis.

Why I Love Water Polo

I love water polo because it's a sport that encourages me to challenge my body in ways I never thought I could! Being a goalie has made me feel more open to creating structure within other people on my team so we can have a stronger chance to succeed. I love empowering my teammates as a goalie!

Looking Ahead

This page will stay with me throughout the 2026 ODP season, including NTSC and future Pipeline experiences.  If I’m selected for additional training camps or international competitions, I’ll continue updating my journey here as I work toward the next level.
