My Story

My name is Sienna Bumbaca, and I have been playing water polo for five years. I essentially grew up on the pool deck, as my mother has been a water polo coach for 20 years, and both of my sisters now compete at the Division I level. Through them, I’ve developed a deep love and appreciation for the sport.

Water polo has pushed me to grow through both its highs and lows, shaping me into a stronger athlete and person. My goal is to continue developing both physically and mentally, becoming the best version of myself in and out of the water.

Being selected for the National Team Selection Camp means a great deal to me. It represents that experienced coaches across the country see potential and passion in me, and I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I am excited to meet other athletes who share the same dedication to the sport and to build friendships beyond my current circle.

Why I Love Water Polo

I love water polo because it is both physically demanding and mentally challenging—it pushes me to believe in myself in order to succeed. I value the community it creates, where teammates and coaches support one another and help each other grow.

I am looking forward to embracing a new level of competition and challenge at NTSC.
