My Journey to the National Team: Help Me Reach the Next Level

I’ve been selected for USA Water Polo’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) and the 2026 National Team Selection Camp (NTSC), bringing me one step closer to my dream of representing Team USA—and showing that hard work, determination, and a love for the game can take you from high school pools to the national stage.

My Story

It started with a bit of sibling rivalry. I used to watch my brother play center from the sidelines, feeling left out but learning every move he made. I took those lessons into the water, and I haven’t looked back since. From my early days as a DACA All-Star swimmer to becoming an All-American at Stanford Water Polo Club at JOs last year, to making WCAL and CCS 1st Team during the high school season, this sport has given me purpose and some of my closest friends.

Last year, I faced a tough setback. I made the ODP National Tournament but didn’t get the invite to the National Team Selection Camp (NTSC). I was disappointed, but I used that feeling as motivation. I spent the last year training harder than ever, focusing on improving my skills, working on my shot, and pushing myself to earn three or more exclusions each game. This year, I finally earned the invite.

I’ve been selected to train with the best in the country at NTSC, which is a huge step toward my goals of playing in college and eventually representing Team USA in the Olympics.

Why I Love Water Polo

I love water polo because it’s more than just a sport to me, it’s where I’ve grown the most as a person and found a real sense of purpose and belonging. It pushes me to be stronger, more confident, and more resilient, while also surrounding me with teammates who feel like family.

Why Your Support Matters

To get there, I need to raise funds to support USA Water Polo. These funds help cover elite coaching, travel, and training required to compete at this level. USA Water Polo is powered by the generosity of families, supporters, and the water polo community. Every dollar helps athletes access high-level training and competition, especially as we build toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and beyond.

Looking Ahead

This page will follow me throughout the 2026 ODP season, including NTSC and future Pipeline opportunities. As I continue to grow and take on new challenges, I’ll be sharing updates along the way. If I’m selected for additional training camps or international competitions, I’m excited to keep documenting my journey as I work toward reaching the next level.
