My Water Polo Story

When I moved back to the US at 9, water polo became a huge part of my life from when I first got in the water with my club, Pegasus. I am lucky that water polo is offered in Texas--through my club and my high school. Through the sport, I’ve learned discipline, teamwork, leadership and how to push myself every day to improve myself and others. It has been exciting to travel to California to train at the next level and I am really looking forward to playing in Europe this summer. 

Why I Love Water Polo

I love water polo as a center because it is a constant battle, not just for positioning but also to push myself, help set the play and give my teammates a better chance at shooting.  The position of center is not one to be overlooked. Most of the time, the center does silent work.  Being a center is about providing opportunities for others and more often than not, learning to deal with hard times.

Why Your Support Matters

The same way I work hard on every play in the pool, I realize this journey does not come to life on its own.  As the saying goes, it literally takes a village. I need your help to reach my goals outside of the pool. I would like to raise support to help fund training, coaching, officiating and future development opportunities – both for me and for other athletes working toward their goals.  Your support directly helps make opportunities like this possible as well as help improve the water polo level overall in the U.S.

Looking Ahead

I am working with my parents to come up with fundraising activities like walking door to door and perhaps asking my water polo club if we can sell some after practice snacks. Crepes, anyone? This page will stay with me throughout the 2026 ODP season

However, to be precise, for the Serbia Trip Selection, the total fundraising goal is $4,800 due by July 7, which includes $3,000 due by June 30 to attend the Colorado Springs Training Camp.
