I'm a BellRunner for The Bell Center
Many of you know that in June of 2024, our sweet granddaughter, Stella Kate, was diagnosed with Spina Bifida while still in her mommy’s womb. Although the future was filled with uncertainty, her daddy stood firm and said, “We aren’t labeling her—let’s see what she will do.” And oh, has she shown us.
Her journey began with in utero surgery, followed by incredible support through The Bell Center, an organization dedicated to maximizing the potential of children from birth to age three who are at risk for developmental delays. Stella Kate’s progress has truly been nothing short of a miracle.
As God often does in His perfect plan, He also brought a special friendship into my life right here in Jacksonville. During those uncertain months, I met Karen Burke. Over coffee, tears, and prayers, we walked alongside each other as our daughters (both living in Birmingham!) each prepared to welcome their precious little girls—both facing their own unique challenges. Her granddaughter, Nell, also began early intervention therapy at The Bell Center.
Because of these two little miracles, I am honored and thrilled to be participating as a BellRunner in the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. I will be running and fundraising in support of The Bell Center for Early Intervention Programs—a mission that is now deeply personal to my family.
I would be so grateful for your support. Here’s how you can help:
• Donate: Any amount, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
• Spread the word: Share my fundraising page with friends, family, and your community.
Thank you for standing with me—and for helping support these incredible children and the life-changing work of The Bell Center. Your support truly means the world to me!
