I’m a 43‑year‑old husband, dad of two boys, a recent living kidney donor, and a slow‑but‑steady marathon runner who believes in showing up — for my family, for my community, and now for the kidney community. The 2026 New York City Marathon will be my fourth marathon, but my first as a kidney donor, which makes this race especially meaningful.
Donating my kidney was a very important moment in my life. It reminded me that ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference. Running with Kidney Donor Athletes gives me the chance to continue that impact — not just through my story, but by helping raise awareness and support for living donation.
My goal is to raise $3,200 to earn my spot on the KDA team and help more people learn what’s possible when donors and athletes come together. I may not be the fastest runner out there, but I’m committed, consistent, and fueled by a purpose bigger than myself. Thank you for supporting this journey and helping amplify the message that living donors are strong, capable, and very much still in the race.
