Meanwhile, my husband was suddenly home alone with our tiny six‑day‑old newborn, trying to navigate those first fragile days of parenthood without me.

It was terrifying to be separated from my family, especially my brand‑new baby, at a time when all I wanted was to be close to him. Learning about this condition—one I barely knew existed—was eye‑opening and overwhelming. But I’m profoundly grateful to still be here, to hold my son, and to share my story.
