We walk to honor Tyler Braden and to stand with every family affected by preeclampsia, ecalampsia, and HELLP syndrome.

For our team, this walk is about remembrance, awareness, and change. Preeclampsia and related hypertensive disorders of pregnancy can escalate quickly and without warning, impacting both mothers and babies. Too often, families first learn about these conditions during a medical crisis—when precious time has already been lost.

We believe that knowledge saves lives. Earlier education, increased awareness, and continued research can lead to faster recognition, improved care, and better outcomes. By walking and fundraising, we support the PreEclampsia Foundation’s mission to advance research, educate patients and providers, and advocate for safer pregnancies.

Each step we take honors babies like our Tyler, supports families walking this difficult road, and helps ensure that future parents and medical teams are better prepared than those who came before them.

Welcome to the 2026 DMV Promise Walk!

NEW NAME!! NEW LOGO!! SAME MISSION!! The Promise Walk for Preeclampsia is a community walk-a-thon organized by the Preeclampsia Foundation to bring together families impacted by preeclampsia and to raise critical funds for education, awareness, and life-saving research. The walk creates a supportive space where families can honor their journeys, share their stories, and stand together to increase awareness of preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.
