On October 10th, I'll be walking in the Preeclampsia Foundation's Promise Walk, and I'm asking for your support.

As a preeclampsia survivor, I know firsthand the trauma, the struggle, and the grief that this hypertensive disorder can bring, both during pregnancy and long after. Due to preeclampsia, my first pregnancy turned into an emergency C-section, and my baby weighed 3lbs 12 ounces.

Too many families go through this hypertensive disorder without knowing what it is, what to watch for, or that help exists. The Preeclampsia Foundation is working to change that. Through awareness, education, and research on hypertensive disorders during pregnancy and postpartum, they're building a future with better health outcomes for pregnant people and their babies.

On October 10th, my beloved partner, Alex and our courageous NICU warrior, Katniss, will join me and countless others to proudly raise awareness and build community on this topic close to our hearts.
