Hillary developed severe preeclampsia after the birth of her second child in 2023, resulting in a week-long hospital stay. She continues to manage high blood pressure and is deeply committed to raising awareness and support for preeclampsia, with the goal of creating meaningful change for future generations of mothers.

Alexandra is a mom to twin boys who are a little over 2 years old. Because her pregnancy was a high-risk twin pregnancy, she was closely monitored for preeclampsia throughout her journey. Although she never developed preeclampsia, the experience gave her a deep appreciation for how serious and unpredictable this condition can be. Alexandra is honored to serve on the committee for this fall’s Promise Walk for Preeclampsia and is passionate about raising awareness and supporting research to help protect moms.

Kristy was diagnosed with preeclampsia in 2021 at 35 weeks pregnant with her daughter and delivered her during an emergency c-section just before 37 weeks. Kristy’s preeclampsia continued to progress in severity after delivery and she remained in the hospital for an additional 4 days while her daughter was in the NICU. In 2024, Kristy was able to experience a pregnancy and delivery of her son without any signs of preeclampsia. Kristy is looking forward to hosting a Promise Walk for Preeclampsia to help raise awareness about this deadly condition and raise funds for research to better prevent and cure preeclampsia.

Julianna was diagnosed with mild preeclampsia during her first pregnancy and readmitted after being released postpartum. She ended up staying almost another week in the hospital as her blood pressure was still high. Today, she maintains involvement with organizations like the Preeclampsia Foundation and MoMMas Voices to spread awareness.
