I'm raising money for REACH OUT & READ

I’m thrilled to be participating as a REACH OUT & READ Champion for Literacy, a fundraiser supporting the Indiana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Inc.!  As the child of a reading teacher, I developed a LOVE OF READING early in life and have a passion for supporting literacy at all stages. As a family physician who cares for children, and having participated as a provider in the REACH OUT & READ program for over 20 years, I understand the importance of promoting early childhood ecucation and literacy skills. Being able to give children books at their visits is one way to promote an early love of learning and to promote language fluency. Plus it's a FUN way to form connections with the children and their caregivers!
