I’m so excited to be participating in the 2026 Runway For Hope, a fundraiser supporting the New England Breast Cancer Alliance! This is my 2nd year participating as a runway model for an amazing organization! I’m passionate about this cause and need your help! Every donation—big or small—helps me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause.

My Breast Cancer Journey:

In July 2023, I had my first routine Mammogram ever at the age of 45 years old! Then I was told I needed a second mammogram to compare to the first one so 1 week later, I had another one plus a sonogram. After that appointment, I needed to get 2 biopsies and further testing. This was one of the scariest times in my life!! In August, I was told the devastating news that I had Breast Cancer! I had 2 different kinds in my right breast which was DCIS and Invasive Ductal Carcinoma plus I was ER+/PR+ so hormone therapy medication is my next 5 years! All I could think about was if my daughter could get it also! After some genetic testing, I’m hopeful that it’s not hereditary. 

On November 7, 2023, my body was changed forever when I had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction, and lymph node removal (which told us it didn’t spread, thank goodness)! Then 3 weeks after my first surgery, I had a big infection which led to further complications, included one implant removal, and more unexpected surgeries. That was Not in the plans! Now on my 2 year anniversary in November, I’ve had a total of 5 surgeries and 2 infections! I’m ready to tell my journey and bring awareness to other women to get their Mammograms….at any age!! Don’t wait because it can save your life! So far this year, I’ve done the Runway for Hope in April 2025, I completed my first Tri for a Cure (with a team) in July 2025, and the “Cancer Can Suck a Cactus” 5k race on November 2nd!
