I’m thrilled to be participating in New England Breast Cancer Alliance 2026 Runway For Hope, a fundraiser supporting NEBCA! Being a 12 year breast cancer survivor I am passionate about this cause. My mother passed away from breast cancer at the age of 40. At 45, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and discovered I had inherited the BRCA2 gene. It took 40 years of research before my family learned that my mother carried the BRCA2 gene that she passed down to me. Research is the reason I am here cancer free. Research is the reason my family was all tested and found negative for the BRCA2 gene. I continue to fight to conquer breast cancer and to support as many people as possible with research and education.
A huge THANK YOU to The Bissell Brother's and my many friends on Frye Island. This summer we turned the island into "Frye Goes Pink" showing support for NEBCA. The Bissell Brother's sponsored a "Battle with a Paddle" pickleball fundraiser, along with a Bissell Beer Garden, raffles, 50/50, snacks, and a lot of laughter. Many friends gave support and donations. Together, we raised $12,000 for NEBCA!
To my "Breastie," Jen Libby, #1 supporter of "Frye Goes Pink!"
Thank You Frye island for standing by me in this effort. Your support means the world to me!
As we get closer to the exciting Runway for Hope fundraiser I continue to collect donations to support NEBCA.
Thank you for ALL the support.
