Thank you for visiting team BANANYAS page! We’re THRILLED to be participating in the 2026 SHARE Walk in support of Sharing Hands A Respite Experience (SHARE), a local nonprofit dedicated to serving families raising children with special needs and disabilities in the Permian Basin.

We have been a SHARE family for about 2 years. When we moved here, SHARE gave us a built-in community with decades of experience in the special needs community. SHARE became my translator for all the new acronyms I would have to become fluent in for this state. They were support when facing the million hoops to jump through for accommodations.

Receiving a medical diagnosis for Ryan was so emotional. ASD Lvl2. The overwhelming emotions actually threw me for a loop because we've had an educational diagnosis since preschool.  I ended up BAWLING in Traci's office. Traci is the director of SHARE and has a million thing on her plate everyday, but when i needed to sort though all that intense emotion, SHE MADE SPACE FOR ME.  LIKE AN HOUR of space. That is what SHARE is for my family. People who care, take the time and take the actions.  SHARE is extremely important to our family.

SHARE provides vital programs and support services at no cost to families, including respite nights, support groups, teen and sibling activities, Moms’ and Dads’ Nights Out, counseling, trainings, and inclusive family and holiday events. These services create connection, relief, and belonging for families who need it most.

All funds raised through the 2026 SHARE Walk stay local and directly support families utilizing SHARE programs. We invite you to help by donating, sharing this page, or spreading the word -- every contribution makes a meaningful impact.
