Hi! My name is Mabel, and I am walking in Strides 4 CMV for my baby sister, Lincoln Iris Matishak.

My mommy was very sick when Lincoln was in her tummy because of something called CMV. Lincoln died before I got to meet her, and my family misses her every single day. We love talking about her and doing special things to remember her.

Now my family helps the National CMV Foundation advocate for CMV awareness and research so more babies can stay healthy and more families aren't impacted by CMV.

Did you know 1 in 200 babies are born with CMV? My mommy didn’t know about CMV when she was pregnant, and lots of other moms haven’t heard of it either.

I am walking for my sister because I love her very much. And because I want to help other babies and families, too.
