Running the 2026 New York City Marathon gives me the opportunity to pursue goals both personally and professionally.

I have always wanted to participate in this historic race, but I knew I wanted to do so with the purpose of fundraising for an organization that serves the people of this city day in and day out.

Working as a Staff Attorney in the Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Defense Practice is not just my profession, it is my passion. The clients of LAS have faced, and continue to face, systemic inequities and injustices every single day. LAS advocates for our clients in courtrooms, in communities, and through partnerships with external organizations, challenging systems that have long been, and continue to be, stacked against them.

I see firsthand the vital work that this organization and my colleagues do to amplify the voices of New Yorkers who need it most. That is why I am humbly asking for your help in this effort. While I am seeking financial contributions, I also understand that not everyone is in a position to give. If you are unable to donate, I ask for your advocacy and support in raising awareness so that, together, we can continue the fight against injustice and inequity.
