I’m thrilled to be participating in the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon to raise funds for the Choroideremia Research Foundation (CRF)!

Choroideremia (CHM) is a rare, inherited, and progressive vision disorder affecting approximately 1 in 50,000 to 100,000 males. Symptoms typically begin in childhood with night blindness, sensitivity to glare, and peripheral vision loss. Over decades, this progression leads to "tunnel vision" and, ultimately, complete blindness in late adulthood. As there is currently no cure, the foundation works to fund research, provide education, support CHM patients and their families, and advocate within the rare disease community.

With personal ties to the CHM and Ophthalmology community, I am deeply passionate about this cause and am excited to run in support of the foundation through the New York Marathon’s charity program. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to my fundraising goal and directly supports the fight against CHM.
