On October 11th, I’m running the Chicago Marathon with a purpose beyond just finishing 26.2 miles. I’m raising $3,300 for Erika’s Lighthouse, a nonprofit that provides free depression education and suicide prevention programs to schools across the U.S. Mental health is very personal to me. Running has helped me manage stress, stay grounded, and build resilience through life’s tougher moments. I believe every child deserves the chance to develop those same coping skills early in life and feel supported through life’s challenges. Erika’s Lighthouse has already reached over 2.6 million students nationwide with its free programs, and with your support, that impact can continue to grow. Erika’s Lighthouse is a non-profit organization that believes every student should have the knowledge and tools they need to care for their mental health. We’re proud to provide our high-quality, comprehensive depression education and suicide prevention curriculum to school districts across the country, at zero cost. Every student. Every classroom. Every school.

Training for marathons has reminded me how important community, encouragement, and staying connected truly are. I’m proud to run the Chicago Marathon in support of Erika’s Lighthouse and help bring these programs to even more schools.
