# Team Resilience for Erika's Lighthouse — Chicago Marathon
**Goal: $3,000**
Depression runs in my family. It found me at 17 and stayed with me, on and off, until I was 55 — nearly four decades of learning, the hard way, that this illness is real, treatable, and far too often faced in silence.
On race day in Chicago, I'm running 26.2 miles with **Team Resilience** to raise $3,000 for **Erika's Lighthouse** — the nonprofit organization behind the leading depression education and suicide prevention curriculum in the United States. The program is built for busy educators, is easy to implement, and is 100% free for every school that wants it.
