Running has always been my outlet, it’s the thing that clears my head, grounds me, and pushes me through hard seasons. I’ve run a couple marathons before, and every race has taught me something different about myself, but this is my first time running for something bigger than just the finish line.
I’m so excited to be running the CHICAGO MARATHON!!! in support of Erika’s Lighthouse!!!! because their mission genuinely means a lot to me. Mental health is something that impacts so many people, especially young people, and I love that they’re creating space for honest conversations, support, and education in schools. What they’re doing can truly change lives.
Training for this race has been such a reminder of why I love running in the first place, not just for the challenge, but because it’s always been there for me mentally and emotionally too. Being able to combine that with supporting a cause like this makes this marathon feel extra special.
If you’re able to donate, share, or cheer me on along the way, I’d be so grateful. Thank you for supporting both me and a mission that’s making such a real difference.
