This holiday season, you can help Building on Love support local families caring for a child with a recent, life-altering medical diagnosis.

When a parent needs to step away from work to care for their child, everyday bills don’t stop. Building on Love provides temporary financial assistance to help families maintain housing and financial stability—covering essential expenses such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities and transportation.

By becoming a Holiday Hero, you can turn your circle of family, friends and coworkers into a circle of support.

What is a Holiday Hero?

A Holiday Hero creates a personal fundraising page for Building on Love and invites others to give. Your page gives you a simple way to share why you care, collect donations and follow your progress toward a fundraising goal.

Signing up is free. You don’t need fundraising experience or a huge following—just a willingness to share our mission and ask others to join you.

Getting started is simple

1. Create your fundraising page.
Click Become a Holiday Hero below and complete the registration form to get started.

2. Set a goal and make it personal.
Choose a fundraising goal of $100 or more. Add a photo and a few words about why you’re supporting Building on Love.

3. Share your page.
Send your page link to family, friends and coworkers by text or email, and share it on social media. A personal invitation can make all the difference.

4. Keep the kindness going.
Thank your donors, share your progress and remind others that there’s still time to help.

Small gifts add up

Five friends giving $20 each can help you reach a $100 goal. Ten friends giving $25 each can raise $250. Every gift helps—and every time you share your page, you introduce Building on Love to someone who may not know about our work.

For a family facing weeks of uncertainty, learning that help is on the way can be the first good news they’ve received in a long time. Your efforts help make that moment possible.
