I'm raising money for Unite 2 Fight Paralysis and would love your help!
I’m very grateful to be participating in 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, a fundraiser supporting Unite 2 Fight Paralysis. U2FP is a community-led organization dedicated to curing spinal cord injuries (SCIs) through advocacy, education and rehabilitational research support. It is both founded/operated by individuals personally impacted by life-altering spinal injuries.
I’m passionate about this cause and need your help! Every donation, big or small, helps me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause.
Here's how you can help:
Donate: Contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small.
Spread the Word: Share my fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks. Let’s spread awareness so we can raise more!
Thank you for standing by me in this effort. Your support means so much to me =)
As a surgeon and a lifelong athlete, I’ve built much of my life around the human body—understanding it, caring for it, and continually testing what my own can do. Running marathons has given me an enormous appreciation for something that is incredibly easy to take for granted: the ability to move.
That is why I chose to run the Chicago Marathon in support of Unite 2 Fight Paralysis.
A spinal cord injury can change someone’s life in an instant, taking away abilities and independence that most of us rarely stop to think about. U2FP is working to change that by bringing together people living with spinal cord injuries, researchers, clinicians, and advocates to accelerate progress toward effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for paralysis.
Running 26.2 miles is something I choose to do. I’m fortunate to have that choice. I want to use that ability to support people who are fighting to regain theirs.
