I’m running the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon for Good Grief, an organization that provides free, life-changing resources and guidance for children and families grieving the loss of an immediate family member.
Earlier this year, I ran this same race and raised over $5,000 for Good Grief. This will be my second time running for the organization, and my goal is to exceed last year’s impact and support even more families.
My dad died when I was 19, and I didn’t realize then that grief is a lifelong journey no one prepares you for. I now volunteer every other Tuesday at Good Grief in Morristown, NJ, working with a group of high schoolers navigating their own grief journeys. Seeing their strength and vulnerability reminds me why this support matters so much.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate: Every contribution — big or small — directly supports Good Grief’s free programs for grieving children and families.
If you can sacrifice your $7 iced latte today and put that toward resources that help kids grieve with proper support and guidance, I’d encourage it — it truly makes a difference.
Don't forget: Check your employer’s policy on matching donations to instantly double your impact.
Share: Send this page to friends, coworkers, running groups, or anyone touched by loss. Your share might be the reason a family gets the support they desperately need.
