My name is Alex and I started Their Best Day Ever to provide financial and hands-on support to pet parents caring for senior or seriously ill dogs, helping them create one more really special and meaningful day together.

The bond between a dog and their owner is truly one of a kind. Every dog deserves the chance to live a happy life with a loving family, which is why I’m proud to partner with the Brandywine Valley SPCA to help raise funds for homeless animals. Over the past few months, I’ve visited the BVSPCA’s West Chester, PA location several times, spending time with their amazing adoptable dogs and helping them get noticed by potential adopters. While I’m there, I get to see firsthand just how hard the staff and volunteers work to care for every animal.

Every dollar you give makes a real difference for animals waiting for their forever homes. Because every dog deserves love, and the chance to have their own special, happy days!

I am a Junior at Malvern Prep and founder of Their Best Day Ever. My family has always been a big supporter of the military. My Grandfather was in the army in the 1950s and it enabled him to be able to go to college and then law school. He was raised in an orphanage so he never forgot the opportunity the armed services provided him. My uncle Jon worked with vets  in their recovery including helping to design the robotics for the prosthetic limbs needed for wounded warriors. Neither of them are with us anymore but I want to continue honoring their legacies.

One night I watched an interview with a soldier who returned home from Afghanistan. His service dog was diagnosed with cancer. They both loved the ocean but he didnt have the physical nor financial means to take his best friend for one last trip. It bothered me that this was even a challenge to do things I do every week with my own dogs.

I decided to start Their Best Day Ever, to provide  financial grants and physical assistance so that everyone and their dog have a chance at having one special day together.
