Hi, I’m Egbert. I’m Walking for Humans. 

Hi friends,

My name is Egbert. I’m a very good boy (I’ve been told this many times), and this year I’m doing something important—I’m walking to support people with cancer.

Now, I don’t fully understand cancer. But I do understand when my humans have had a hard day. I know when to sit close, when to lean in, and when to just be there. And from what I’ve learned, that’s exactly what a lot of people going through cancer need, too.

That’s why I’m raising money for Wellness House.

They help people with cancer—and the people who love them—feel less alone. They offer things like support groups, nutrition help, exercise classes, and counseling. And the best part? It’s all completely free. (Free is good. I also like free treats.)

My human (she’s a breast cancer doctor) tells me that cancer care doesn’t stop after surgery or treatment. People still need support, strength, and community. Wellness House gives them that.

Why I’m walking:
Because everyone deserves comfort, support, and someone by their side—just like I give my humans every day.
