After I was diagnosed in August of 2024, I was introduced to Wellness House. It is an incredibly welcoming and caring environment for those impacted by cancer ~ patients, survivors and caregivers. I have participated in so many programs at Wellness House and each time I enter the front door, I am greeted with a smile. The programs help with so many aspects of my wellness. I've learned about reiki. I've taken chair yoga classes and relaxed during meditative sound bowl sessions. I've heard doctor lectures and participated in many nutrition programs. I attend a monthly support group for women, and I try to attend a weekly exercise class to connect with other participants and maintain my physical health as I navigate my treatments. Wellness House has become a big part of my life.
Because of the Walk, and the generous donations of individuals and businesses, everything at Wellness House is provided free of charge. I am so grateful to Wellness House and I'm excited to have the opportunity to give back to the organization by participating in the Walk again this year.
