One Canyon. One Dad. One Son. One Incredible Cause.

This October, I'll be joining my dad on a 24.2-mile Rim-to-Rim hike across the Grand Canyon with one goal in mind: raising $25,000 for the National Ataxia Foundation.

For our family, this isn't just another hike or another fundraising event. Ataxia is a rare neurological disease that impacts thousands of families, and we're hiking to help accelerate research for treatments and a cure while supporting those whose lives have been forever changed by this disease.

Our adventure begins at 3:00 a.m. as we make it to the trailhead of the North Rim where we'll be making our way to the bottom of the canyon. Once we make it to the bottom, then comes the part everyone talks about: climbing back out. After all, going down is optional...coming back up is mandatory! As for what time we'll finish? Let's just say we'll get there when the canyon decides we've earned it.

Here's the good news: you don't have to hike a single mile. You can support this mission from the comfort of your favorite chair, your couch, or wherever you enjoy not climbing out of canyons.

Simply click the blue Donate button on the right side of this page. Every dollar helps fund groundbreaking research, provides hope to families living with ataxia, and brings us one step closer to better treatments—and ultimately, a cure.

My dad and I will take care of the hiking, the sore muscles, and the questionable decision to wake up at 3:00 a.m. You can be part of the journey by making a gift that will have an impact long after our legs recover.

Thank you so very much in advance for supporting those living with ataxia, their families, their caregivers and the mission of the National Ataxia Foundation
