I was lucky to have crossed paths with Dragon Master Initiatives during my first runDisney event which also happened to be my first race ever. Learning about their story and their mission inspired me to run with them as soon as possible. Not only did their story inspire me, but their mission is very close to my heart. Some reasons include:

1. Having lost my dad to cancer, it is the least I could do to help in a simple way (such as running) to support a mission looking to find cures for diseases.
2. My wife has been hospitalized a few times when she was a child growing up. Between knowing what it's like to have a loved one fight cancer and hearing the stories of uncertainty surrounding my wife when she was a child in the hospital, putting the two together is unimaginable for me, especially because we have a daughter now. Anything I can do to help families going through one or both of those scenarios is more than an obvious reason to run.
3. Having a STEM background, I stand by leveraging technology in the best way possible to support science.
4. I want to inspire my friends and family to be active and healthy. To innovate and invent. To live long and make memories. To help both friends and strangers. To keep doing life together because a life without each other, no matter how long or short, would not be the same.
