In February 2027, I’ll be returning to the runDisney Princess Challenge—this time with a charity bib supporting the incredible Dragon Master Initiative!
The Princess Challenge holds a special place in my heart. It was where I completed my very first half marathon, and returning to it has become an annual tradition. Each year brings new memories and a little more magic, but running in support of Dragon Master will make this challenge more meaningful than ever.
I chose Dragon Master because they are leaders in the cancer research community. They help fill critical funding gaps, support collaboration, and advance research that could lead to scientific breakthroughs and, ultimately, cures. Just as importantly, they stand beside families dealing with cancer diagnoses, helping them access the practical support and resources they need during an incredibly difficult time.
Cancer has affected several members of my own family. Some won their battles, while others were taken from us far too soon. It is a disease that does not discriminate—and in the blink of an eye, any one of us or someone we love could be facing the same fight. Dragon Master has a particular focus on pediatric cancer — cancer is not something anyone of any age wants to experience, but a child experiencing it is especially cruel.
That is why I’m setting a goal of raising $1,820 USD for Dragon Master Initiative. Every donation, no matter the size, will help support groundbreaking research while bringing hope and assistance to children and families affected by cancer.
As I train and make my way toward the finish line, I’ll be carrying the memories of those we have lost, celebrating those who have overcome, and running with hope for everyone still fighting.
