Hi! My name is Kate Ivie!
When I was nine years old, my father was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had his kidney removed. For 13 years, it felt like an event I was too young to understand at the time, but something my family was happily able to leave in the past. This was true until 2025, when three tumours were discovered around his esophagus.
By joining the Texas 4000 for Cancer Summer 2027 Ride Team, I am dedicating myself to raising money for not just my dad, but everyone in my life who has been affected by cancer. By committing to raising $7,500+ and biking 4,500+ miles, I hope to push myself and become a strong advocate in the effort to beat cancer. I ride for my father and late grandfather, but would love for anyone who has a story with cancer to reach out to me so I can ride for you or your loved ones as well.
Here are the ways you can support my journey!
