Because of top-of-the-line, innovative cancer treatment, my grandmother survived her battle with stage 4 lymphoma: a fight with long odds. I grew up with a wonderful grandmother who loves to try new foods and see new plays with me, all thanks to the tireless efforts of the doctors and researchers that fight cancer every day.

I joined Texas 4000 for cancer to connect with my community and make real, noticeable change. The mission of Texas 4000 is to cultivate student leaders and engage communities in the fight against cancer, and I can’t wait to learn and grow with my team.

Contributions towards the 2027 ride will contribute to groundbreaking cancer research that can lead to improved treatments and early detection methods and stronger support systems for patients and families.
