Hi, I’m Matthew, a student at UT Austin studying Economics and Finance. Before school, I spent six years in the Navy as a nuclear operator, where I learned what it means to commit to something bigger than myself.
Cancer affects everyone. For me, it’s personal. My aunt battled breast cancer and won, while others I’ve known weren’t as fortunate. Seeing both sides of that is a big reason I’m doing this.
In summer 2027, I’ll be biking over 4,000 miles from Austin to Alaska with Texas 4000 for Cancer. We’re raising money for cancer research and support services, and every mile is for someone who’s been affected.
If you’re able, I’d really appreciate your support, whether that’s donating or just sharing my page. It all makes a difference.
To Alaska and back,
Matthew
