Hi! My name is Vignesh Winner, and I’m a senior at UT Austin studying Computational Engineering and Mathematics. In 2027, I’ll be biking around 4,500 miles from Austin to Anchorage, Alaska as a member of Texas 4000 for Cancer.

For me, this ride is personal.

Cancer has touched my life and the lives of people around me, just as it has for so many families. I've seen how its impact goes far beyond the person diagnosed, affecting the people who love them and the futures they imagine together. It's a reminder of how quickly life can change and how important it is to be there for others during their hardest moments.

I ride for everyone whose life has been changed by cancer. I ride for the people we remember, the people still fighting, the survivors, and the families standing beside them. Everyone has a story, and I hope this journey allows me to make even a small difference in theirs.

Texas 4000 is also an opportunity for me to challenge myself in a way I never have before. The ride will push me physically and mentally, but it is about much more than reaching Alaska. Along the way, our team will connect with communities, share information about cancer prevention and early detection, and raise money to support the fight against cancer.

Whether it’s $10 or $100, every donation makes a difference and means a lot to me. Even if you’re not able to donate, sharing my page or following along with my journey is another great way to support me and Texas 4000. (If you would like to donate less than $10, please Venmo @Vignesh2Alaska with the description "T4K".)

Thank you for supporting me, Texas 4000, and everyone impacted by cancer!
