Welcome to my fundraising page for Team One Step!
In April 2027, I will be turning FORTY YEARS OLD; yep, the big 4-0! For some time, I've been thinking about what I wanted to do to celebrate, not necessarily being one for parties or big to-dos. So after some brainstorming, I decided that I wanted to do something that would not only be for me, but something that would do some good for the world. So, with that said, I’ll be running the TCS London Marathon to support children diagnosed with cancer and their families.
My wife and I have been blessed to have three beautiful, healthy children. We are thankful we've never had to deal with the trauma that is a child being diagnosed with cancer. Not every family out there is so lucky; reportedly 15,000-16,000 children receive a cancer diagnosis EVERY YEAR in the United States, essentially having a portion of their childhood put on hold. No child or family should ever be forced to msis out on childhood experiences because of a cancer diagnosis, like the experience of going to camp.
I’m proud to be part of Team One Step, which supports Camp One Step by Children’s Oncology Services. This incredible organization provides camps and other recreational and educational programs for children who have been diagnosed with cancer. Their One Step programs focus on healing the spirit by creating experiences filled with hope, strength, and encouragement.
During the pandemic, Camp One Step expanded its reach by offering virtual camp experiences, allowing them to support even more children, right from their hospital beds and homes.
I would be so grateful if you would consider supporting my journey and helping raise funds for this meaningful cause. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and for your support and following along with my journey to the starting line in London!
