I've seen family members diagnosed with cancer, but watching a close family friend lose their 18 month old son to stage IV Neuroblastoma was a completely heartbreaking and life altering event. Seeing little kids fight a disease that even strong adults struggle with is truly crazy and insane. Sometimes it seems cruel and unfair. And people often find themselves feeling hopeless in those situations. 

I found Dragon Master Initiative for my first Dopey challenge in 2025, and ran again in 2026, and am now planning for 2027. It was truly humbling to see the huge difference this small (yet very very mighty) team was making in the world of pediatric cancer research. I am so blessed to represent them once again, and to help them make a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer. I am even more blessed to be able to run and represent Team Fired Up with both my mother and my fiance.
