In November 2025, I was watching the NYC Marathon across the street from the ovarian cancer charity cheer squad. Something about that moment stuck with me, it felt like a matter of not if, but when.

I knew that before I wound down my running journey, I wanted to run at least one race for a cause bigger than myself. It had to be tied to cancer support or research. I know firsthand how much more is still needed in cancer research and support, having lost friends and family. I run this race for them, and for a future where fewer families have to say goodbye too soon.

This is that race. Thank you for supporting me, and for supporting the people this cause is fighting for.
