I am running to support family and friends who have been diagnosed with cancer. I am also running to honor those we have lost to cancer, especially my nanny. 

Most recently, my cousin-in-law, James, and his girlfriend, Kathleen, have been on their own journey with cancer. They were both diagnosed around the same time and have spent the last 6 months or so receiving treatment. Their positivity, strength, and determination during this has been inspiring in and of itself, but the fact that they are both running Disney (the marathon and half marathon, respectively), has motivated me to set a previously impossible goal for myself to complete the half marathon. The opportunity to go on this running journey with them is so special and I’m grateful to have it through Dragon Master Initiative! 

Dragon Master Initiative has a data-driven approach to cancer and other disease research. They promote information sharing and seek to make research more effective by empowering collaboration. By assembling data from previous and current patients and making research data more accessible, they believe they will find cancer cures in our lifetime.
