As Children's signature event, Star Gala helps advance many of Children's programs and services benefiting kids and families in our community. This year’s Star Gala Youth Committee is chaired by Hunter Boyd, JJ Harrington and Lauren Smith. They will lead a group of amazing young adults who represent the kids cared for at Children's. Members include Maggie Anderson, Morgan Anderson, Sarah Bernet, Olivia Boyd, Rayyaan Chaudhri, Gunnar Evenstad, Tor Evenstad, Sophia Haydon, Seamus Healy, AJ Hedberg, Sydney Lawson, Sarah McGurl, and Madeline Walesch. Each member brings a personal story and passion about supporting kids and their families. The Youth Committee will support Star Gala by giving back in a meaningful way: securing gifts to support the Fund-A-Need, volunteering at the event and thanking our sponsors and donors for their generosity.
Star Gala Fund-A-Need
Proceeds from this year’s event will support neonatology at Children’s, home to one of the only Level IV programs in the state. In our neonatal intensive care units, amazing things happen — because we invest in the technology, expertise and support services that fragile babies desperately need. Your support of the gala makes it all possible, equipping our team to give brand new humans a fighting chance at life.
Help us reach $75,000
The Star Gala Youth Committee has set an ambitious goal of raising $75,000 to support kids and families at Children's and they invite you to help them reach this goal by making a gift. They will use the funds raised to challenge the guests at Star Gala to match their contribution and inspire everyone to give to meet the event's fund-a-need goal of raising $350,000.
You can make a significant impact with a gift of:
$1,000 provides educational opportunities for nurses, advancing the level of care that Children’s can provide.
$500 provides resources from Child and Family Services like interpreter services, music and pet therapy, spiritual care support, and so much more.
$250 provides breast milk for babies, ensuring that every child has access to healthy nutrition.
$100 provides support for the NICU follow-up program, a free service that ensures a child’s development stays on track, even after they go home.
