My Children's story circles around my twin sisters. Being this year’s funding priority is Neonatology, I thought it was fitting to get involved with the Star Gala.  My sisters were micropremies. Some of the tiniest and most fragile infants in the NICU. They spent several months being cared for until they were large enough to come home.  My sister, Claire, suffered complications of prematurity and ended up with an Intraventricular Brain Hemorrhage requiring many surgeries. Children’s Minnesota started as their home and life line.  Providing familiar faces and care to them in their time of need. They have provided specialists, surgeons, neonatologists, therapists and the most caring of nurses. My hope is to give back to an institution that has provided so many things to our family.
