2022 Winston-Salem Barefoot Mile Description
Walk a mile in solidarity with impoverished and trafficked children to raise funds for JOY International, a global non-profit organization based in Conifer, Colorado and Streetlight NC based in Winston-Salem, NC.
JOY International is dedicated to the rescue, restoration and reintegration of children, teens and young women affected by trafficking and the prevention of child trafficking worldwide.
Streetlight NC is a not-for-profit that provides resources and support for women in crisis, specifically those employed by the adult entertainment industry.
Join the fight for freedom by registering to walk today! Registering is free and opens the door for you to raise funds for the event individually or as a team.
You can walk virtually at any time and anywhere or in person at Winston Square Park on April 2, 2022. If you walk virtually, send your pictures to info@joy.org as you walk or tag JOY International!

https://www.streetlightnc.org/StreetLight is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization in Winston-Salem, NC that seeks to provide resources and support for women in crisis, specifically those employed by the adult entertainment industry. Our goal is to demonstrate a genuine care for women in our community by providing pampering gift bags and treats to let them know that they are cared for, to tell them that there is a God who loves them more than they could imagine, and to connect them to local resources on an as-needed basis. We seek to partner with industry management in caring for employees by providing referrals to healthcare, crisis support, counseling, shelter, rehabilitation, and mentoring services.
